Burglary Alert – Swinton

Swinton Neighbourhood Team is asking residents to remain vigilant following reports of recent burglaries in the area.

Offenders are often looking for opportunities to target insecure properties, particularly during periods when homes are unoccupied. We would encourage all residents to take a few simple steps to help protect their homes and belongings:

✅ Ensure all doors and windows are locked, even when at home.
✅ Keep keys, wallets, handbags and car keys out of sight and away from doors and windows.
✅ Use security lighting, alarms and CCTV where possible.
✅ Consider using timer switches on lights when away from home.
✅ Report any suspicious activity, unknown persons acting unusually, or vehicles of concern in your neighbourhood.

Please remember that if you see something that doesn't look right, trust your instincts and report it. Information from the community is invaluable in helping us prevent and detect crime.
